i didn't get a chance to blog about my saturday misfortune. sighs! think that it's unlikely to drop handphone into the toilet bowl? thick twice. haha cause yesterday i dropped my n73 (barely 5mths old) into the toilet bowl! yes, i flushed it before dropping it into the toilet bowl. and no, i was shitting (in the words of fishball face). so i went like f and almost immediately (cause of human reaction time) picked my beloved phone up. usually i will be thinking thrice before sticking my hand into the toilet bowl? who wouldn't! so the MOST it stayed in the toilet bowl for 3 secs! and the message came out "shortcircuited. etc..." i didn't catch the rest of the words cause it switched off! so i dismantle the back of the phone, started wiping like crazy! told my mother and then she used the hair dryer and tried shaking the water out! n73 can stand to win most absorbant phone of the year! it totally had lots of water coming out! don't ever wow at built-in speakers, cause it just means it is prone to more water seeping in compared to others! and stupid memory card slot too! i so had a dream that i dropped my phone in the toilet bowl last month and i cried in the dream.
so well, i went to nokia care centre (with kimsoon, samuel and weidin)! and the wait was 1 hrs 45mins! we walked around though, i was worrying about the charges! i mean the more time was delayed, the more the water would damage it? but i can't demand people to surrender their queue number. so by the time it was my turn, the lady told me that she has to access the damage to see if it could be repaired in the first place. then it hit me, the phone could actually be gone. i was like depressed, i wanted the phone to last me 2 years cause i dropped the phone so badly that there was a little chip. and because of my stupidity, it's just gone. yeah, when the lady return, she told me the charges was $150 if i wanted to do a repair and the MOST it could last me was another month. and subsequent charges would be worst! so i asked her, so i might as well get a new phone? she said yah! who knew 3 secs can impact me in such a way?
so i lost all my contacts cause i stored all in my phone and i didn't listen to joanne's advice on sync-ing with the pc! ): so give me your contacts! so yup, now i am using my ah gong's old phone - 8310 (which was passed down from my dad ages ago) cause he just got a new phone a couple of days ago! so i'm going slightly retro, and 8310 is my life! yay it's WHITE SCREEN. at least not blue, i will faint. the games are so cool, more variety than n73! i should have used this ages ago! the buttons are comfortable to message in! but i was shot down by my mum yest! haha, no colour screen! and cousin sam today! 8310 can only type max 160 characters nice? yes, my mother did offer to get me a phone (got lunar new year promotion) but i just don't feel good. like during j1, my bag got stolen (with my favourite set of clothing, ipod mini. so did my other friends' belongings) and my mum got me a nano? the guilt is there right. i think i should "punish" myself so that i will not be careless again? anyway i will give this another thought. haha tml, i will just NOT msg in the morning crowd train! (: i maybe going slightly retro, but i don't need a few more extra stares/giggles in the morning lol!

haha it's a good day (: each one of my clique holds a special place in a heart :D they always make me laugh really hard! even those who couldn't make it! love playing sss with jas! and talking to szehui on the phone, she always says i'm boring to talk to, no one else will say things she say, the szehui style! they made me giggly and i laughed non-stop and super loudly in ps swensons. and it didn't really seem to be a concern if others were turned off by us! haha nessa is absolutely funny. her actions and expressions are so cute and humorous. haha both cheryl and i burst into laughter, i looked at her to ask if she was laughing at nessa's actions, and she was! super funny! if only we could video it down, lol. maybe good things can only be captured in our memory! it was just fun to catch up with the rest! hearing wanwen talk about her china trip! elaine's loud voice! yeah it was a fruitful time together! i hope vonne have a good time in shanghai for her attachment and hope the weather will be fine :p i will miss talking her online!

my chinese new year holiday went by so fast! and tml work starts :P haha oh well, i had a nice reunion dinner! i love my mother soup! i played a tiny role in the cooking, by.. peeling AND cutting potatoes (no joke okay) and cutting the cabbage! day 1 of chinese new year, was wonderful with joshua (: he is the cutest! haha, i am his entertainer! he is always cranky, he should stop feeling like sleeping whenever i meet him! haha. the bukit batok flyover can just die for having two freaking accidents, making our ride home 40mins ): the heat didn't help, and i didn't have my ipod and my dearest bro was singing his life away. not good. and my father has a secret liking for chinese music. with all these, my mind was going insane! and after we came home, BUNCHES of people (groups of families) started flowing into our house. NO SPACE TO SIT AND WALK. you won't rmb who you wished happy new year too! and worse, you won't rmb who gave or didn't give you red packets! haha, after they left (almost all at one go), silence man! haha. and my mother wasn't so busy refilling drinks! haha and i can't believe a 5yr old kid (my nephew) openly declares rolling eyes at me as a hobby! all i did was wish him happy new year! haha oh well. once a year, how bad can it be! haha. another 5 yr old kid (his cousin) also was influenced by him on the next day! oh well, but this one, i did disturb him. haha. it's alright, i have cute joshua to accompany in the night! he is the chubbiest, cutest! haha and kissable cheeks! haha. i love making funny expressions and watching him open up his eyes and look at me (the strange person who is making weird looks at me).

haha the week passed exceptionally fast? it's thursday today. hmmm so far, work has been somewhat like school? haha cause it has been training and it's been going for lectures! haha and today, going to the com and doing pair work. i've downgraded myself to the primary school level. haha. oh well, it's been fun to just slack around, the girls are nice people :D it'll be quite sad that soon we'll have to work alone! it'll be so boring ): haha. lol, some of the girls went to take neoprints? oh well, someone's bright idea? definitely not mine. HAHA.
vday, haha, hmmm i just hang with maureen. pearly was with us for awhile, still the same haha. they take so many photos? hmmm bought roses for my ramen ten babes. huiting, it seems like i super long never see her! cause our eyes lit up when we saw each other! but she was quite busy. and today i was too tired to go out after work. ff was also VERY happy to see me, she was quite shocked i think? as you know from two posts before, she's waiting for me eh? she played hard to get, so she wasn't friendly, never let me to do my usual thing. haha. then me and maureen ate at macs? super full. haha, was talking to dawn last night. telling her i saw a couple at macs. we agreed that it's quite sad to do so, cause the conversation would go as follows.
girl: hey dear, so where are we going for dinner?
boy: hmmm let's go eat macs.
hmmm i guess it would be better if macs came up with a LOVER'S SPECIAL/COMBO? haha. too bad there isn't haha.

i saw melissa png on my msn contact list and OUT OF THE BLUE, i decided to talk to her. realized she has gotten her o's results. so i went to ask her. who knew, from semi-intellectual content we talk about (e.g. the courses she will take, how afraid i am about a's) to retard content in our conversation? haha. suddenly she is claimng that she is the love of my life. when unforunately, she loves me the most and secretly and/or openly stalks me and presses me for my photo! haha. ah she is NO LONGER as cute as before. (she used to be this cute, giggly junior of mine, her giggles are contagious) haha. ): -heart shatters into 3 pieces- when i ask her if anyone liked her, she gave an egoistic reply! she says she has so many suitors (which is unbelivable, one or two, i still can accept lol). so she shatters my heart, so my love for her has decreased. haha she is no longer my beloved. haha. anyway if this is retard enough, imagine if you see our message history! haha. anyway i love talking to melissa png (: i hope we can catch up soon :D

I would like to dedicate this post to huiting, who opened my eyes to the real world. (okay it's not that i haven't woken up, it's just that i keep slipping into my tiny comfort zone haha. i'm quite spoilt, aren't I?)
The world is realistic when it comes to money, and higher profit margins. When is it too much? Are people becoming too obsessed with material gains? Have they become blinded by statue, wealth? When should we stop? By putting profits over staff welfare (being a miser over their pay) or even consumer welfare (being a miser over food quailty & quantity or even delaying repair/constant checks on machinery just to save the unnecessary), is this the way to bring your company to greater heights? By doing so, it affects the staff attitude towards the tasks they do. Who would go all out to work for you if you have become a miser over their income and hours they work for? As for the consumers, who will return after leaving with a unhappy stomach. Is all these worth it for the couple hundreds you save? So it would appear that you are doing very well, when in fact, you have just created displeasure and you aren't actually doing that well, cause staff are leaving and customers will eventually understant how over-priced your goods are. And the time and resources that you earn/save is actually used to train new workers (which will eventually leave) and to attract new customers (with advertisements). What's the freaking point of this? Exposing your true colours to the world? (recalls the song about true colours that is always played on the mrt)
Why do some people get too caught up with themselves that they become self-centered? The worse thing is, they start to sacrifice relationships with colleagues so that they can get ahead of their peers and start to backstab one another? Is it really worth to do so? I thought friendship is valuable? Perhaps not everyone shares the same view as me.
What a harsh world we live in. Ain't it better if we were still schooling? Especially in the sheltering walls of pl. It's funny how all these struck me even though i haven't started work yet? It's funny how I won't be able to form such sentences when i speak to anyone! Oh well.

haha i got a job! like FINALLY, no one is allowed to say that but me (: haha. yeah, it's a admin/data entry job, starting next monday and it's a somerset :D got it through recruit express! haha i have to wear formal and no jeans and tee-shirt (says the consultant) and i gave her a forced grin cause i was wearing tee-shirt and jeans when i went over to sign the contract yesterday! anyway can't believe i needed one and half months before i have a job! :S i bummed around during that time, quite nice to slack and go out! except it sucks to have money crisis :P haha. anyway i was down with a flu and sorethroat yesterday, it could be due to two reasons 1) my brother who is sick, and we share the same room (unfortunately) or 2) i was already very heaty and i still ate mango and didn't drink much water on sunday :S so i just laze around at home, hoping i'll recover by tml!
oh yeah, when i was at raffles place last friday, i got approached by a financial advisor! and another guy who helps financial advisors! like why, do i look like i have a job and i'm old enough (flattering but untrue at that point of time)? or maybe they are just desperate cause everyone at the station looked rather unfriendly! all thanks to my mother, who was late and got LOST in raffles xchange and i had to look for her! how can anyone be lost?

my house got painted today. the whole thing, ceiling and walls. the painter was quite bad i guess, got some spots with not enough coats and the tiles were spotted with paint? yeah. oh well. it's just been such a long day, and it just makes me wish i can stone my day tml. and i have yet another long day, with many insignificant things to do! why am i whining when other people are slammed with more things to do? haha.
